Jianfeng Ling Tropical Rainforest: China’s Amazon Adventure
Location & Access Jianfeng Ling Tropical Rainforest National Park is nestled in southwest Hainan, approximately 90km from Sanya via highway. Easily accessible by high-speed train from major hubs like Sanya, Haikou, and Haikou Meilan Airport, the park is just a 30-minute shuttle ride from Jianfeng Train Station. For convenience, arrange hotel pick-up or opt for private transfers (CNY1000/way for 3 adults or CNY1500 for 7 adults).
China’s Pristine Tropical Wilderness Recognized as China’s largest and best-preserved tropical primary forest, Jianfeng Ling was named one of China’s “Top 10 Most Magnificent Forests” by China National Geography in 2005. Often called “China’s Amazon,” this ecological treasure spans 447 square kilometers with over 2,800 plant species and 4,300 animal species.

After arrival, climb Jianfeng Peak, then check in at the hotel, free & easy.
Mingfenggu Valley Walk, then check out and back to Sanya at around 1 pm.

The tour usually starts between 8:00-9:00 AM to make the most of the day. You'll spend about 6-7 hours in the park, including hiking, sightseeing, and lunch. Return to your hotel is expected by late afternoon.
Private round-trip transportation is included. Your driver will pick you up from your Sanya hotel and take you directly to the park entrance, making the journey comfortable and seamless.
Wear light, breathable clothing, sturdy walking shoes, and a hat. Bring sunscreen, insect repellent, a reusable water bottle, and a light rain jacket (weather can change quickly). A small backpack is useful for carrying personal items.
The hike to the peak is moderately challenging (1.5 hours uphill) and is best for those with average fitness. For families with children or seniors, the Tianchi Lake and Mingfenggu Valley trails are gentler, scenic, and highly recommended.
You may spot rare birds like peacocks and egrets, along with ancient ferns known as "living fossils." The dense forest is also home to diverse butterflies, insects, and tropical flowers—your guide will help point them out.
A local lunch is included, typically featuring Hainan-style dishes. If you have dietary restrictions, please inform us in advance. You can also bring your own snacks.

The rainforest is warm and humid year-round. The dry season (Nov–Apr) is ideal, with milder temperatures and less rain. The wet season (May–Oct) is lush but has frequent showers—bring rain gear if visiting then.
Top spots include Tianchi Lake reflections, the Mingfenggu Valley boardwalk, and the summit viewpoint. Sunrise/sunset at the peak offer spectacular panoramic shots—your guide can help with timing and angles.
Stay on marked trails, follow your guide’s instructions, and avoid touching unknown plants or insects. Carry drinking water, and if you have allergies or health conditions, bring your medication.
Yes, restrooms are available at the park entrance, Tianchi area, and near Mingfenggu Valley. They may be basic but are regularly maintained.
Small shops near the entrance sell local honey, tea, and handicrafts. Purchases support the local community and make meaningful souvenirs.
Yes, after guided portions, you'll have free time to wander, take photos, or simply relax by Tianchi Lake. Your guide will advise on meeting times and points.
