Absolutely. The route is designed for recreational cyclists with average fitness. Daily distances range from 65km to 115km, primarily on flat or gently rolling coastal tourism roads. You'll have ample time to complete each stage at a comfortable pace, with regular breaks and full support.
The majority of the route uses the well-maintained Hainan Tourism Road, which features smooth asphalt, wide shoulders, and minimal traffic—perfect for cycling. Specific highlights like the volcanic rock coast and windmill coast are on paved roads with breathtaking views right beside you
We usually depart around 8:00 AM after breakfast, allowing time to digest and prepare. With breaks for photos, snacks, and lunch, we aim to arrive at the day's destination between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM, giving you plenty of time to relax, shower, and explore the local area in the evening.
Our support vehicle carries a supply of bottled water, electrolyte drinks, seasonal local fruits (like bananas or oranges), and energy snacks (such as nuts or granola bars). We replenish these daily to ensure you stay hydrated and energized.
Of course! The volcanic rock coast features unique black basalt formations shaped by ancient eruptions, meeting the blue sea. The Mulan Bay Windmill Coast boasts a dramatic line of towering white wind turbines against the ocean backdrop. We schedule photo stops at these scenic spots, giving you time to appreciate and capture the views.
Our bilingual leader and support vehicle driver are equipped with tools, pumps, and spare inner tubes. They can handle most common roadside repairs quickly. You can also learn a thing or two if you're interested! For major issues, the support vehicle is there to get you and your bike to the next point of assistance.
We pair solo travelers of the same gender to share a twin room. It's a great way to make a new friend! If you prefer more privacy, you can opt for the single occupancy package to have your own room.
Lunches are a highlight! We stop at carefully selected local restaurants to enjoy authentic Hainanese cuisine. Think freshly caught seafood, local chicken dishes, flavorful noodle soups, and plenty of vegetables and rice to refuel. We cater to dietary restrictions with prior notice.
Yes. After arriving at the hotel and cleaning up, the evenings are generally free for you to explore. You can take a stroll, visit local markets, try street food, or simply relax. Your leader can always provide recommendations.
It's simple. Each morning, you leave your packed main luggage (the one you don't need while riding) at the hotel reception or a designated spot. Our support team loads it onto the vehicle. When you arrive at the next hotel in the afternoon, your luggage will be waiting for you, often already delivered to your room.
Group sizes are kept small to ensure a personalized experience and better support, typically between 8 to 15 cyclists. Participants usually range from adventurous travelers in their 30s to active retirees in their 60s, all united by a love for cycling and exploration.
Wear moisture-wicking cycling clothes (jersey and padded shorts), a helmet (provided), and sunglasses. Hainan is sunny and humid, so high-SPF sunscreen, a cycling cap under your helmet, and fingerless gloves are highly recommended. Pack a lightweight rain jacket just in case.
Your cycling for the day ends upon arrival at the designated hotel in Sanya. The exact location will be communicated in the final itinerary. After checking in, you are free to explore the vibrant city of Sanya.
After the celebratory finish at the scenic Mulan Bay, our support vehicle will transfer the group, the bikes, and all luggage back to Haikou. We will drop you off at either Haikou's city center or directly at Haikou Meilan Airport, depending on your onward travel plans.
Definitely. While riding, you'll pass through fishing villages, local markets, and farmland. The itinerary is designed to immerse you in the scenery and the rhythm of local life. Stops are often made at points of cultural interest, and your leader will share insights about the areas you pass through.
