Hainan East Coast Challenge: 350 km, 5-Day Cycling Adventure

It means you'll be riding alongside local cycling enthusiasts who know the routes and love sharing their island. It's a fantastic way to experience authentic Hainan culture and make new friends who share your passion.

Our support vehicle carries ample water, electrolyte drinks, and snacks like fruit and energy bars. We schedule regular breaks. You'll also pass towns where you can purchase local drinks. The key is to drink little and often, and our leader will remind everyone.

This includes drinking water, sports drinks, seasonal fruit (like bananas or watermelon), and light snacks to keep your energy up between meals. All are carried in the support van and available at rest stops.

"Hao Hanpo" (Hero's Slope) is a famous, sustained climb on the way to Sanya. It's a challenge but very doable at a steady pace. The view from the top is rewarding! The support vehicle follows, so anyone can choose to ride it partway or take a break in the van.

Breakfast at the hotel is included. Lunches and dinners are not included in the package, allowing you flexibility. We stop at local restaurants chosen for their authentic food and cyclist-friendly service. The group often eats together, sharing dishes family-style.

We select clean, well-reviewed, and conveniently located 3-4 star hotels or the best available local lodgings. All rooms have private bathrooms, air conditioning, and WiFi. They offer a comfortable place to rest and recharge after a day's ride.

Solo travelers of the same gender will be paired to share a twin room. It's a great chance to bond with a fellow cyclist. If you prefer guaranteed privacy, the single occupancy option is available.

We aim to start cycling by 8:00-8:30 AM after breakfast. We'll finish riding and arrive at the day's hotel typically between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM, depending on the distance, pace, and photo stops.

Don't worry! Our bilingual leader and support van driver are equipped with tools, pumps, and spare parts (like inner tubes) to handle common repairs quickly on the spot. You can keep riding in no time.

Yes! Once we check into the hotel, the evenings are yours to explore. Stroll along the beach in Sanya, explore the town of Boao, or relax with your new cycling friends. Your leader can offer suggestions.

It's seamless. Each morning, leave your main luggage (in a provided bag tag) at the hotel reception. Our support team transports it directly to the next hotel. When you arrive, your luggage will be waiting, often already in your room

Excellent. The Hainan Tourism Road is a well-maintained, scenic highway built for tourism. It features smooth asphalt, wide shoulders, and light traffic, making it ideal and safe for cycling while enjoying coastal and countryside views.

Daytime temperatures are pleasant but can be variable. Wear moisture-wicking cycling layers (short sleeves with arm warmers or a light jacket). Pack sunscreen, a helmet (provided), sunglasses, and a lightweight rain jacket just in case. Evenings can be slightly cooler.
