About this tour

Wuzhishan (五指山) is not only the name of the highest mountain but also the largest city in the heart of Hainan Island, with 60% of the population belonging to the Li and Miao ethnic groups. It is accessible by local express bus, taking approximately 1.5 hours from Sanya in the south and 2 hours from Haikou along Hainan’s central highway.

There are two Cayon rafting in Wuzhishan, Hainan:

1. Wuzhishan Grand Canyon River Rafting (大峡谷漂流) offers a challenging route covering 3 kilometers in about 2-3 hours. However, it is only open on weekends and public holidays.
2. The more popular and less challenging option is Hainan Hongxiagu Canyon Rafting (红峡谷漂流), which spans 3.8 kilometers and takes approximately 1.5-2 hours. This experience is available daily, pending confirmation.

Since Wuzhishan Grand Canyon River Rafting is exclusive to weekends and public holidays, our day tour focuses on Wuzhishan Hongxiagu Canyon rafting (红峡谷漂流) on weekdays, with the option to upgrade to Wuzhishan Grand Canyon River Rafting (大峡谷漂流) on weekends and public holidays.

For weekday tours, we depart from Sanya at 8 a.m., starting with a challenging hike, followed by a local lunch in Shuiman Town. Afterward, we head to Wuzhishan Hongxiagu for canyon rafting before 1:30 p.m., returning to Sanya around 5:30 p.m.
