The Black Stone Course, the crown jewel of Mission Hills Haikou, spans across a spectacular 350-acre core golf landscape, navigating through mature trees, dense jungle vegetation, and vast lakes and wetlands. The course’s defining feature is its bed of lava rock, sourced from a location 25 miles away. The naturally undulating terrain offers dramatic elevation changes, with utmost care taken to preserve the magnificent Lychee trees and minimize alterations to the rock.
The lava rock base is seamlessly integrated into the design, blending irregular lines of turf and rock to soften the course’s edges. Wild, irregular bunker edges and transitional sand features effortlessly merge with the native lava rock, enhancing the course’s natural aesthetic.
Fairways gracefully follow the natural contours of the landscape, prioritizing surface drainage over traditional low-drain inlets. The result is a picturesque expanse of turf with soft, irregular edges, devoid of harsh delineations between fairway and rough. The lava bed is ingeniously incorporated into forced carries, creating a visually stunning contrast, while remnants of lava rock walls and village ruins add historical significance to the course.

Our standard tee-off package typically includes: 18 holes of golf (or 9 holes, if specified), a shared golf cart, and use of the practice facilities (driving range and putting green) prior to your round.

We require at least 72 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling to receive a full refund or credit. Cancellations made with less notice may be subject to a fee. For "no-shows," the full package price may be charged. Please review our specific policy at the time of booking.

If the course is officially closed due to inclement weather (e.g., lightning, heavy rain), we will gladly reschedule your round or issue a rain check for a future date. If you choose to start your round and play is called, our pro shop staff will assist you with a partial credit based on the number of holes completed.
Yes, we maintain a standard golf dress code. Collared shirts (or appropriate golf attire), tailored shorts or trousers, and soft-spike golf shoes are required. Denim, tank tops, and athletic wear are typically not permitted on the course. We appreciate your cooperation.
Yes, we have high-quality sets of men's and women's golf clubs available for rent. Rental fees are generally not included in the standard tee-off package but can be added for an additional fee at the time of booking or upon arrival.
No, our packages are open to golfers of all skill levels. We simply ask that all players maintain a good pace of play (typically ready-to-play in 4 hours or less for 18 holes) and adhere to standard golf etiquette.
Most of our packages include a cart. If you prefer to walk, please contact us in advance. Walking may be permitted on certain days/times, and a walking rate discount may be available upon request.
