On February 4th, with the inauguration of the direct “Sanya ⇌ Qingdao” flight route, a batch of Tsingtao Beer arrived in Sanya. The tourism and culture departments of both cities organized an event at Sanya’s Dadonghai Square where Tsingtao Beer was distributed to residents and tourists. Similarly, coconuts from Hainan were handed out on the streets of Qingdao. This exchange of local specialty products aims to enhance the cultural and tourism appeal of both cities.
The direct “Sanya ⇌ Qingdao” flight has been officially operating since February 3rd, with flights available every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The one-way flight duration is approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes.
The launch of this route coincides with the first Spring Festival travel season following the full operation of the Hainan Free Trade Port. Together with the trial run of Terminal 3 at Sanya Phoenix International Airport, which commenced on February 1st, it provides crucial support for passenger flow and cargo transport during the Spring Festival period.
At the flight route inauguration ceremony, representatives from both cities completed the handover of supplies and local specialty products. A relevant official from Sanya stated that the launch of the direct flight will promote the deep integration of culture, commerce, and tourism, further enhance the travel experience, expand “tourism + consumption” scenarios, and inject vitality into the Spring Festival cultural tourism market. A representative from Qingdao pointed out that the direct flight not only facilitates travel for tourists between the two cities but also establishes a more efficient platform for brand promotion and market cooperation.
Currently, Sanya is continuously optimizing its product and service offerings for the Spring Festival tourism market.
