Round-trip transfers are included for divers staying in Haitang Bay only. Divers staying outside Haitang Bay must arrange their transportation to Wuzhizhou Islet or book a transfer package with the Sunny Hainan Team.
The course spans 3-4 days and includes theory sessions in the morning, confined-water skill practice in a pool, and open-water training dives in the afternoon. Each day starts around 8:30 AM and finishes by 5:00 PM.
Participants must be in good health. Certain conditions like heart or respiratory issues, asthma, or recent surgeries may restrict diving. A medical questionnaire will be completed before training begins.
Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, and any personal medications. All diving gear is provided, but you may bring your own mask if preferred.
You’ll start with theory (videos and manuals), practice skills in a pool, then complete four open-water dives under instructor supervision—all at a comfortable, step-by-step pace.
Groups are small for personalized attention—typically 2-4 students per instructor, depending on the package you choose.
Sanya offers warm water (19-26°C), visibility often 10-20 meters, and calm conditions ideal for beginners. Marine life includes tropical fish, coral, and occasional turtles.
Divers outside Haitang Bay can take a taxi or arrange a transfer package through the Sunny Hainan Team to reach Wuzhizhou Islet.
A lunch box is included on diving days. For other meals, your instructor can recommend nearby restaurants or you can bring your own snacks.
Yes, the PADI Open Water Diver certification is internationally recognized and allows you to dive independently to 18 meters with a buddy.
Participants must be at least 10 years old. Those aged 10-14 receive a Junior Open Water Diver certification.
Training may be rescheduled or adapted (e.g., theory sessions first) for safety. The dive center monitors conditions closely and will inform you of any changes.
Yes, the PADI-certified center provides high-quality, regularly serviced gear. All equipment is thoroughly sanitized between uses.
Yes! Once certified, you can join guided fun dives at local sites. Your instructor can help arrange these.
The dive center instructors speak English and Chinese. For non-Chinese speakers, confirm in advance to ensure an English-speaking instructor is available.
Relax with a beach walk, enjoy local seafood, or rest at your hotel. Avoid flying for at least 18 hours after your last dive.
